We are 1 mile from the small village of Mountshannon which overlooks Lough derg. The cottage sleeps up to 3 people ,has open fireplace and oil fired central heating.It has its own patio.It is 4 min.walk to a small harbour on Lough Derg from where one can pre-book a small boat trip [in season] to the nearby Holy Island or Iniscealtra as its also known as[ see www.mountshannon.com for historical info.on the island.]
If you are interested in walking We can give you info. on walks nearby or if you are flexible in your dates of travel you could join with East Clare walking club on one of its regular Sunday organised walks.If you are interested in running the owner can take you on runs nearby or to nearby races. From May onwards the owner also partakes in mountain or fell runs.If interested in these check www.imra.ie.
